I designed the Greta for us, honestly. There's a 1.59ct elongated cushion lab grown diamond turned east-west, wrapped in a little halo of milgrain and held with soft double claws, and then down each shoulder I engraved a sprig of lavender into the gold. Lavender's been ours for a long time, a quiet queer symbol passed down through generations, and tucking it into a ring like this felt like the whole point. It has a coordinating counterpart too, the Sloane, so two people can each wear their own ring that quietly belongs to the other. It's tender without being precious. The kind of thing you notice more every time you look down at your hand.
